Hi All,
I was going to do a stellar first post - but alas my PC died with a whimper this afternoon and I'm reduced to my Kindle - So this is just a place holder for now.
I'm going to build a modified A-Wing Starfighter. This an idea I've had in my head since I was a child and it'll be nice for it to see the light of day. I don't have a kit in my hands yet but I do have a Bandai 1/72 kit on order and a Bid live on ebay for an old MPC kit. This may sound strange but in some ways I'm looking forward to building the MPC kit more.... (I'm weird I know). The Bandai kit will be awesome though and it'll serve as a guide to improving the MPC kit (which is 1/48) assuming I win it.
If I get both I might build a Straight movie model as well.
Cheers and may the Force be with you!
Stuart

Re: Stuart's Rouge Trader A-Wing.
That's the beauty of the Star Wars Universe. You can easily take a film subject, and modify it into something more from the expanded universe. I remember the early Ralph McQuarrie description of the Y-Wing as having the rear section stripped of its external shell by Rebel mechanics to ease in maintenance. Somebody could take an existing kit of the Y-Wing, and scratch up the long gone shell. I always pictured it as resembling the A-Wing in that guise, just bigger.
"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."

Stuart, your first post is stellar, both on the small screen (iPhone) and now on large one (Cinema Display). I am excited to see you work your ideas upon these kits!

It'll be cool to see the comparison between the Bandai and MPC kits!

I'll put my hands on that kit sooner than later.

Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!! I was out bid on the MPC kit with 3 seconds to go!!!!! I HATE it when that happens!
I'll have to see if I can find another that's not going for stupid money.
On the plus side the Bandai kit is on it's way from the US and should be with me by the 29th.
