OC IPMS 2019

Well last year was a shut out for me. But I must admit that I did not have many decent entries, and on the months that I did enter, the competition was pretty stiff. But this year, I am starting off on a great note.
The theme for January’s contest was “Topless”- open topped vehicles. I decided to have a go at that with my first completion of the year, my Tamiya Sdkfz 222. Based upon a critique on FSM, I changed the orientation of the car on the base, to better sit among the large rocks. I also added a map case to conceal the ding that I accidentally made in the top deck grill while I was opening that up. And since my intended figures are not ready, I used another DAK figure to sit in the open hatch.
Well, all that paid off, as this took 1st place in the Master Category, and also the theme award for Open Top. Yay! Of course, once the desired figure is done, I will use him here, but for now...
