Interesting. Mounting the body and wheels come next. But, plenty of time. There are six windows that need chrome trim before placing the body.

Closing up will save time on not having to detail everything, should also help with the exterior looking great. Love the shifter, that grabbed my attention quick! Great progress Lyle. Wish my real Bugs interior looked that good (never got to restoring it...)

Works like a charm don’t it?
It’s rare when I’ll use an OOB shifter. Just can’t bring myself to do it.

been awfully slow lately. The twins, Mo and Jo, have been a bit of out of sorts. Trying to get a BMFoil on the clear parts. It is not cooperating in the same manner as it did on the body. Then yesterday, I managed to crack the windscreen.

Sent Tamiya USA a message and here is the response. Not what I expected.

Dear Tamiya Customer,

Unfortunately, the D parts are not in stock at this time; however, as a warranty issue I can have them pulled from existing kits, to do so please reply this email with an image of the front page of the instruction manual, and your request will be processed as soon as I receive this information.

Thank you,
