Next will start weathering the crew compartment before getting closed up, I'm going to leave open every hatch and door to get the most light in as possible.
Thanks for looking in.

I meant to respond to you so I owe an apology. I got caught up in things, is all I can add as an excuse. Would you explain how you painted the seats in more detail? I think the end results are really amazing. I’m also curious about how the lap belt was done too!

No problem Bruce.
The seats got a base coat of the 50/50 leather/saddle brown.
The arm rests and trim was painted with straight leather brown.
The shadows being the pleated areas of the seats got painted with German camo medium brown.
The raised areas between the pleats got a few coats of a very thin mix of leather brown and orange brown. To show some wear and to act as a highlight too. This was very thin more like a wash. The lap belts are painted German uniform kaki with a touch of leather brown added for shadow areas. Then the metal picked out with model master non buffering steel.

I should have another update for you tonight with some more photos.

Thanks everyone.

Got a lot done over the past few days
Got the radio equipment painted up then wired up and installed
Image
I did some weathering by using some Mig ocher filter to give a dusty look on the floor and walls. Them installed all the seats, desk and radios

Soon all this will be hard to see through the doors and top hatches but me knowing it's all in there is enough for me.
Thanks for looking in! Happy to answer any questions.

That looks damned good! Having spent way too many hours inside similar vehicles, my only critique would be to put the field phone in its cradle and not leave it laying on the map. But you have done a great job of capturing the busy look of the interior of a command post van/shelter.
