I've started the Hasegawa A-7A, it's and older kit, circa 67, and has box and decal changes since and is in a massive need of upgrade.
Being a glutton and liking the price, $5, I opened it up and started on it.
It has raised panel lines, very little to no wheel well detail, it's missing the small gear door on the mains, the intake is too short and the radome is somewhat bulbous, but whatever, I'm not going to worry about that. The cockpit on the other hand is a joke and needed some work.
So I took an ejection seat from a Eurofighter and a pit from a Harrier from the spares box and added some plastic to widen the sides. I cut some aluminum for the belts and glued various PE wee bits to the side panels to simulate switches, knobs and gauges. It's not accurate by any means but it looks far better that what was in the box.
Now I need to do some detail painting then on to the rest of the build.
