1/72 hasegawa A-7A

I've started the Hasegawa A-7A, it's and older kit, circa 67, and has box and decal changes since and is in a massive need of upgrade.
Being a glutton and liking the price, $5, I opened it up and started on it.
It has raised panel lines, very little to no wheel well detail, it's missing the small gear door on the mains, the intake is too short and the radome is somewhat bulbous, but whatever, I'm not going to worry about that. The cockpit on the other hand is a joke and needed some work.
So I took an ejection seat from a Eurofighter and a pit from a Harrier from the spares box and added some plastic to widen the sides. I cut some aluminum for the belts and glued various PE wee bits to the side panels to simulate switches, knobs and gauges. It's not accurate by any means but it looks far better that what was in the box.
Now I need to do some detail painting then on to the rest of the build.

For $5, you can’t go wrong. That’s a fun old kit. A product of its time that you’re dressing up nicely. It’s nice to see another SLUF on here. That bird has a nice proud combat history.

That cockpit looks really good!

A great improvement on this old kit!

What everyone said. Been a long time since I've done an A-7.

Thanks guys.
I glued the fuse together. Here is the completed pit. The IP will get the kits decal.

I got back on the A7.

So here it is buttoned up and black based. I'm going to load fuel on inner pylons, Mk82's on MERs mid hard point and napalm on the outer TERs from the Hase weapons set.

Straight out of the box except for the pit.
