What a tremendous undertaking doing all that P/E and then those guns! Man, I could never do that.

I bow to the Master!

I dunno what to even say about all of this. I think I'd go to the looney farm if I attempted anything like this.

It's been a little while and I've been working diligently on the Akagi. I almost have all the hull done with it's associated PE. I'm still waiting for the ladders from Australia. They seem to be stuck somewhere between LA and Boise :scream: Oh well, I still have lots to work on in their place. As soon as I'm done with the hull and get it sprayed and weathered I'll put it aside and work on other stuff such as the planes, crew, AA guns, my sanity and maybe a different kit for the time being. All I'll need to assemble and paint would be the deck, island and seabase....and of course add the planes and crew.

This is what I picked up yesterday.

and of course a Zeek. There's Akagi markings in there somewhere

Anymore work on the Akagi or your sanity?

Oh yes, what I'm doing doing just doesn't show much and I didn't want to bore anyone with what looks like very little progress. I'm adding the "Jack Stays" PE which are all the little hand holds all over the ship. I finished the starboard side and working on the port at the moment.
here is some pics of a partial completed starboard side. The funnel itself took a week. I'm not as happy with the funnel as I'd like but once painted it should look good.

The PE work on you're doing on this ship is always impressive and not boring.
