Sensational work John! That really looks stunning standing on it's landing gear with that engine glued in place. That is awesome that the cowl fits so well! Man, you are quite the Master!
I'd be thrilled if Bruce could join you at a show. I'm still waiting for him to show up at a Hobby Day or Orangecon once they get started up again. Your work would look so incredible on the show tables!

We are modelers - the same in spirit, in hunger to insanely buy newly released kits, hustlers in hiding our stash from our better halves and experts in using garbage as replacements for after-market parts.

Thanks all! Putting the finishing touches on this Shiden Kai build. The last final bits are added like the boarding step and the tiniest little external doodad on the fuselage bottom...
There are clear lights on top of the wing. Instead of kit clear pieces, I used UV-activated clear epoxy, which is much easier to handle than those rice grain-sized parts.
And finally... time for the masks to come off of the canopy!
Luckily, no drama unfolded and the canopy looks ok with the exception of a few dots of dust on the inside. First time I hairspray chipped the canopy frames and thought this turned out nicely.
Oh yeah... you can see the brass gun barrels in place too! Tomorrow, I'm going to take photos of the bottom and the add the antenna and aerials. So the next update will most likely be a link to the finished photos.

Let's call this one a wrap! Still need to mount the antenna mast and string the aerial but I should be able to get the finished pics up later today. Here's a sneak peek with the big camera...

March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall
