As long there is a coloration of sorts on tail or rudder as shown in above samples, yes.

For example, the Memphis Belle doesn't count since it's all olive drab in color..

The 8th Air Force Bomb Groups did not start adding the unit ID colors until 1944

I've been working on a Group Build badge. I will be modifying it using this.....





The signs will be altered as well.

I'm struggling with how to label the top 3 lines. Red fish will be renamed to red tails, blue fish will be renamed to blue nose. I'm thinking One fish being rename to Checkered Nose or tails/ Two fish is where I'm stumped. I've seen striped tails and noses but not sure how to name it, Basically the Group Build will be renamed as:

Checkered noses or tails

????

Red Tails

Blue Nose

I figured out the Group Build badge. (This is a rough draft but will clean it up better)
