1/48 Tamiya Me-262-Updates-06/15
Re: 1/48 Tamiya Me-262-Progress-05/21
I believe that the horizontal stabilizers on the real 262 were identical. I don't know if the kit allowed for this but you could've theoretically just swapped the two?

That's what I was thinking. On my 1/72 scale one I thought I'd done the same thing but then I flipped them over to the other side and it got finished.
This is also why I tend to add the horizontal tail pieces to my planes when I have a distinctive difference in upper and lower paint patterns.

Thanks for the comments guys. It appears that is the case with the identical stabilizers. Currently undergoing painting process. Note to self.....next time paint them along with the rest of the aircraft. Trying to match everything up perfectly after the fact is as much work as paint prep and painting process.

Agreed. I made a similar mistake with the side skirts on my Chieftains. Gonna deal with it when I get to that bridge.

Very nice.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
