I started on the 1/72 Helldiver. Not much to show except the unboxing and trying to figure out what I have.
The resin cockpit is a bit of a head scratcher but I'll bet I can figure it out.
I started by drilling out the exhaust manifold.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting the head off a Hydra, two more take it’s place.

needs portholes! Neat kit.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I will be starting a Walrus after this one. I believe it may have portholes.LyleW wrote:needs portholes! Neat kit.

Re: 1/72 Heller SBC-4 with extra AM
OK guys I started in earnest on the little Helldiver. The AM pit is nice although somewhat of a head scratcher. After reading the very limited instructions, I decided to throw those in the bin and fit everything together using the my spatial analysis superpowers.
I then painted the pit and wheel well interior green and added a brown wash. I assembled the upper and lower wings and after some trimming. I attached the two halves of the fuse.
It looks to be a quick build but I do need to pick up some of that Yellow/Orange the mid war planes used for the upper wing.

very nice. As for the cube, i just took it apart and reassembled in the correct positions. much easier for me.

Everyone’s a comedian...
I’m loving this project. An old kit with some help to bring out its potential!

What an interesting subject to build, you don’t see these Helldivers that often!
