I think that I used Testors Universal Acrylic airbrush thinner with Aeromaster acrylics. It’s been a few years. Unfortunately that stuff is OOP now. I’d kill for another bottle or three…

I hear you, Carlos. I have several bottles, mostly Russian colors given to my by a fella name Rex. You know him.... a wealth of information on F-16s and aircrafts. Got a chance to meet him and his wife years ago when he stopped in the area and met for coffee before he passed away a few months later. Wonderful people.

I miss the guy and still wished he was still with us.

That's bad news. I didn't know Rex had passed away. I never met him in person, but he was kind and generous in our messaging back and forth. RIP Rex.

That was such a great loss. We were working on some fast jet references for here.

Rex was a priceless resource when it came to postwar USN/USMC aviation. Like Bernie the Phantom Phixer, guys like that are such a boost to the hobby. Fountains of knowledge and not too full of themselves regarding their experience.

An update. Camo masks are off and I am very pleased with the outcome using paper cut out and poster tack. It gives me that soft edge I was hoping and looking for. Gloss coat is on and ready for decal session - hopefully tonight.

Last night, I worked on a pair of Brassin Matra R-550 Magic 2 missiles. The Matra R-530 missiles will be assembled tonight. It is my first time working with resin missiles and I am very impressed.

Pics forthcoming later this afternoon.
