I don't know. Even had my coffee. Probably a large part is the utter mess and clutter on my bench. Every time I am sitting here, I try to think of ways to clear it and get better space utilization. I may get some folding tables a replace the cubicle furniture. I'll use the cubicle setup as a gun cleaning area. I am quite frustrated right now.Stikpusher wrote:Lyle, you’ve got to stop watching those Mr Bean or Chevy Chase model building videos on youtube… How did it go that far sideways? I know that I’ve spilled my share of glues and paints over the years, but in one sitting?

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Between that and the Huey I'd say you're right about that. Looking good on this one Lyle.LyleW wrote:Thanks gentlemen. I’ve always liked the looks of this one. Kinda like the DC-3 of helos

Thanks. Yep, the Huey is certainly iconic, too.

Re: Revell 1/48 H-34 Choctaw
I hope I'm done with fixing stuff...
1 reattach/fiddle with windscreen - check
1 reattach and refit right side cockpit window - check
1 main rotor blade - check
1 tail rotor blade make and repair - check
1 antennae on tail - check
1 hand hold right side - check
1 tail wheel strut - check
1 reattach entire tail wheel - pending
The main rotor is simply setting in place at the moment. Tail rotor will not be installed until done. Drying and curing waiting for decals. Painted with Tamiya rattle can TS-5 Olive drab.

Thank you Declan. I think it is turning out okay. Maybe decals tomorrow or Tuesday.
