MPM Wellington Mk.IC
Re: MPM Wellington Mk.IC
But, what else do you have to do? The latticework really looks good!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Such a shame you won’t see it once it’s buttoned up.

Lattice looks great. Surprised that such a prominent feature was missed
Re: MPM Wellington Mk.IC
Thanks guys. TJ, i am as well. I have looked at the more recent Airfix kit and that has it all molded onto the fuselage.
Finally got an update. I was able to get the engines together. These are little kits by themselves. Each of the pistons along with all the pipe work are seperate parts, took a god couple of days to get these done.
And got the aircraft painted. Once again the Montex masks have proved a pain with quite a few panels lifting. I am expecting to have to clean paint off clear part.
All paints are Xtracolor.
Now to get the decals added.

Nice, very nice!

Re: MPM Wellington Mk.IC
Those engines look great. How did you do the scalloped black on the fuselage? Did the masks provide that?
Thanks,
John

Re: MPM Wellington Mk.IC
The Hercules with the forward exhaust ring is a complicated thing to model, isn't it, Martin. It's looking real nice.
Re: MPM Wellington Mk.IC
Thanks guys.
I did the scalloped masking by laying a thin line of white tac then pressing down slightly with a scapel blade going along the putty.
The engine are nice little kits. I have them painted now but will wait till the end to fit them.
