Other news. Could have, should have. and missed opportunities. A good number of model kit vendors with good prices. Definitely a lot of armor kits (Carlos would have had a field day
).
Missed opportunities..
Saw a seaplane kit I should have grabbed for $20 but stupid me, I decided I'll come back for it in a bit. Gone.
Could have...
A couple of model kits I wished I had more cash to spend
Monogram Bad Actor Wagon (same kit that was originally Quick Silver) I debated whether or not to get it for $22. decided not to because the decals didn't match the box cover. Oh well... It was still a good price though
Remember Jacque Cousteu model kits? The Ship and the PBY Seaplane? I would have loved to grab the PBY Seaplane but dealer was asking ballpark price between $60 - $90. If money was no object, I would grab it. Didn't see the Cousteau ship though.
I fondly remember having built the old Monogram 1/72 scale B-52 Stratofortress kit in my youth years. A Christmas present from my grandparents and parents. I saw the same exact kit for $80. It hurts I didn't have enough cash to buy it. Otherwise, that would have been my first purchase of the day had I had more cash. Great price too!
Monogram Screamin' Mimi Sherman tank for .... get this... $12 !!!!!!!! Shoulda grabbed it.
Godzilla snap kit. Oh man, how I agonized over buying it or not. I passed. Now I wished I hadn't. Bruce... we coulda done a duel build with Godzilla!
There were a lot of oldie kits and fairly recent kits going for good prices too. However, there weren't very many ship model kits out there which i found strange. Mostly armor, aircraft, cars, aftermarket stuff including PE sets and masks, decals, books, etc...
There is another show coming up in April 3, 2022 "Spring Thaw" - this time in my local area at the Willowvale Fire House.
