Greg, after building close to 10 of their kits, the only complaint I have is the instructions. There has been a few where the editing/proof reading was non existent.Greg wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 3:45 pmTom, for Christmas 2012 my future stepson and daughter-in-law gave me the Academy reissue of Accurate Miniatures TBM-3. I hadn't build a model in probably 20+ yrs.BlackSheep214 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 11:17 am I don’t believe I’ve ever done an Accurate Miniature model kit before.
They apparently did their research. Awesome kit. I've read only praise for any of the AM kits, and even the Accurate Miniatures reissues. I can't explain why I've yet to build another......yet.

Re: Accurate Miniatures SBD-1
That is interesting to know. I recall having to track down the original AM instructions for a couple of things that baffled me on the Academy reboxed version of the TBM. (especially the gun turret installation). I had assumed that the original AM instructions were better, perhaps wrongly!
John (Eaton), how rude of me to comment on Tom's post and I forgot to mention how nicely your TBD is coming along.

Nothing rude about it, Greg, glad you visited!

I don't know what it is with your photo's john but no matter what device/app I use to view the boards I always have to open them in another tab - it's well worth it though as that looks absolutory stunning!

Most excellent work, John!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Re: Accurate Miniatures SBD-1
Looks sharp John. Yellow & red and silver & red are some of my worst nightmare combos to work with
Thanks,
John
