Having found a bit more time, I managed to finally get these two over the finish line. First is the ancient Airfix kit if the Vospers 73' Motor Torpedo Boat:

Yes, the rigging is a bit over scale, but it's the finest styrene rod I could find I was breaking things too much trying to use thread. It's done so....

On to the second one, the Revell S-100 Schnellboot. This is a more modern kit but it still gave me issues. It is finally done too:

That's the latest two I have finished. Just for fun, here's my entire 1/72 scale motor boat collection to date. I have at least three more in progress:

Thanks for looking in, I hope you enjoy them.

I gotta tell ya, I’ve been hunting for the large scale PT-109 that came with a motor that you can actually float and run in the pool. I can’t recall the scale but it ran on D size batteries (how many I don’t know) and came with a JFK a figure at the guns and a couple other figures at the helm. I recall building it in the late 70s.

Probably the one of the Lindberg kits. Those were motorized.

Thank you all for the awesome replies guys! I'm so thrilled to have finished these, and I can't wait to complete the last three I have under construction.

Mike, I believe Carlos is right; Lindhberg did a lot of motorized models, it is most likely one of theirs.
