Today I kicked off my second build for the Monogram Mafia, since my six months is winding down.
This is Monogram’s 1/48 F/A-18A in Blue Angels markings, as the appeared for their initial season with the type in 1987. I’ve had this kit in my stash for a looooong time…. I’m building this OOB to keep it flowing quickly.
Of course construction starts with the cockpit.
I should be able to start painting tomorrow once everything is dry.

I am running out of clock as well. Have to get started on the Mustang...

Yeah, we have company in town this week, so I can’t get in a good long airbrush session until they’re gone. In the meantime, I’m trying to build as many sub assemblies as possible prior to painting…

Thanks TJ… I just have a few more sessions left on the Thunderstreak. As it has been for a week or two now…

Nice. Great subject. I have several Blue Angles a/c in the stash....at one time, I fancied building as many as i could.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
