My son's Monogra P-51B

Post by cbaltrin »

Ok, I did most of the assembly, but he did most of the painting and glued on quite a few bits himself. We finally finished this guy last night. Was a bit of a delay after the fuselage codes on the starboard side failed to launch--or shall we say, broke up in flight? Big shout out to John Eaton for sending me a scan of the decal sheet, which I was able to load on my computer and create masks to cut on my silhouette cutter. My son painted on the letters last night and attached and painted the antenna mast and it was a done deal. I really love this hand painted Monogram Mustang. I feel like a kid again. I mean I want to pick the thing up and run around the house with shooting down 109's

Well done! Reminds me of my model painting method as a 6 year old. :giggles: :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

Very nicely done! How many coats of white paint to get the stencils to look so nice? This kid is way ahead of the learning curve! :shoutout:

What a great looking build! And, as John said, the crew is sharp looking too!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
