Takom 1/35 MQ-8B Fire Scout

Post by Medicman71 »

Last week I kept SWMBO company at her studio while a high school set up for and had a show last Thursday. I took a kit with me to work on that I didn't have to pre-paint. I started the Takom 1/35 MQ-8B Fire Scout. It's an ok kit. The instructions are really vague on a lot of areas with the worst part being how to add the skids.

Very cool Mike. I've thought about getting this kit. Is this the one with the blade folds?
Thanks,
John

cool.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks all. Yes this one has the rotor fold but I'm not going to do it.

After much searching and thinking, I finally figured out (I hope) how the skid supports go on. I'll let those set for a while before attaching the skids. I also got the nose and top of rotor housing attached to the fuselage.

Coming along nicely. Ya those skid location points look a bit sketchy.
Thanks,

Thanks! I hope this isn't typical of Takom kits.
