very nice. The detailing is quite realistic.
This isn't a real one, but it is still fun to watch....

Salü Torben,
Your build is coming along very nicely and I'm looking forward to seeing it progress.
Keep it up, mate.
Erik
P.S.
Can't wait to get back at the bench to join in.
My new scale modelling man cave is still in the making and far behind schedule.

Thank you Jim. And you're welcome, I love to infect people with aviation virus of all kind.JimD wrote:Coming along swimmingly. Love the work all around. I can not wait to see the paint fly toward this one. I'm putting a 262 on my build docket for the year. Thanks for the inspiration.
You opt for the big scale Trumpeter one?
Hey Erik, good to have you back again! As long as your new man cave turns out like you wished it's worth the waiting. And I'm very curious about your build. (Seen some nice additions to your stash over at Scalemates - wow!).AIRFIXER wrote:(...)

Takes its time to apply all that little clouds. A challange for my wrist
When the RLM76 is done a quadrillion little snakes of RLM81 and 82 (maybe 83, too) are going to meander over it.

Nice work, Torben. Good set up for the final colors.

Really? Man, modelling gets more and more insane...
What did you use for this black base coat?

Thank you, Lyle. I hope it'll work out. To be honest, while doing this I had to remember the outstanding results by Jim and Doogs to calm myself down.LyleW wrote:Nice work, Torben. Good set up for the final colors.

"Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black". I really like my Polyurethane primers from Vallejo, but when a quick drying time comes to play this stuff is nearly unbeatable. You can thin it down up to 50% and it still covers like... like... something that covers really good.
You and Heidi... who could resist?JimD wrote:Great stuff, Torben. Glad to see another convert to team black base

I can't even imagine how long it took you to do that. Nicely done.
