Re: The Duke's Shipyards Launch Three Ships in August
Thank you Kari! Thank you Mike! Thank you Tom! Thank you Bruce! In all honesty, my preferred ship scale is 1/600 scale; in that scale you can build a decently detailed ship while not taking up the shelf space of a larger scale ship. I build primarily in 1/700 scale because it's the most prolific sca...

Thank you Kari! Yeah, red and white are a touch color combination to get right. I don't much like painting them either. Thank you Mike! Thank you Stuart! Thank you Carlos! Yeah, that Russian made bird does look funky. They built them odd back then. I also love the sound of those fenestron tail rotors.

Re: Maddog Manufacturing Opening for 2026
Thank you Carlos! I'm gonna have fun with that bombed out house. And yeah the Antonov sure does have some extensive and powerful landing gear. Thank you CB! Yes it is and it had an open box with an open bag so too many vital, irreplaceable parts are still missing. I'm hoping they are still in the ho...

The Duke Finishes Two Helicopters in August
Today I can show two more helicopters I finished this month. The first one is the Mach 2 1/72 scale SM-1/300 helicopter: https://modelersalliance.org/galleries/civilian-sm-1-300-helicopter-i-jpg.132849/full https://modelersalliance.org/galleries/civilian-sm-1-300-helicopter-ii-jpg.132850/full https:...

Re: Maddog Manufacturing Opening for 2026
Thanks to having a lot of time lately, I have managed to get enough done for a new tour. So, all aboard the trams for another tour of the facilities. We start in the Hangar where this first bay has more work done on the SM-1/300 helicopter. This is a civilian version of the Mi-1 that was produced in...

Re: 1/48 AH-1Z Viper
That's amazing that it looks this bad. I built the Dream Models 1/72 scale Viper and never encountered anything like this. You got this though; your ad skills will beat this into submission.

Thank you Mike!
Yes Bruce, I add some water to them, mix it up a bit and then paint them on and let dry. After that, I take a Qtip or stiff brush to brush away the dry powder from where I don't want it.
