Re: Revell H-291 by speedgraflex

Well Bruce, wise words. I think it is good to keep a part of your youth alive—the good memories. Building models, after all, is just a symbol of a positive piece of the past. Life is meant for creating memories. Because memories are what remain when we are gone. They are what define our soul. So y...

Took a while since I have read your progress, Bruce. I guess once you are finished you will get a wonderful replica of the famous Camel.

Re: Revell H-291 by speedgraflex

I wonder when the figures I have sent might arrive at yours Bruce....
Hoping further one of them might fit or if you can make them fit. Let's see.

Greetings from Yorkshire, England.

Re: Revell H-291 by speedgraflex

Oh my! :hmm: Let’s see what Marius thinks. Well I am currently checking the target dimensions. x, y = 12.7 mm does not match the 28 mm in z-dirrction. I would suggest to set the x and y to 17.5 mm, means 25.47 in z. I am adding the head in the same customised scale to check against the predicted 38...

Re: Revell H-291 by speedgraflex

Bruce, have you ever tried Magic Sculp? It might be a good solution to sculpture the pilots figure.
It is a 2-compounent resin filler which can be softened or better blended with water.
You know Christian, master of home-made scratch model kits of unusual aircraft swears to this filler.

Re: Revell H-291 by speedgraflex

Bruce! I can't wait to see that Camel finished! Just looking at the red painted cowling and the fine engine, everything is spot on. Usually, especially my own models, come to life when the decals are on. This one here is already, at every step of the building process. And you made imperfections of t...
