Re: Do 335 1/48 Monogram

The glossy finish is a benefit when it's time for decaling. It can save you an extra layer of clear varnish. And don't worry too much about the pre shading. In the end you won`t see much of it anyway. Maybe in some areas you can cut the lines again with the basic colour. Just go ahead, Lyle. You're ...

Re: Do 335 1/48 Monogram

You missed one rivet, Lyle. Right below of the upper left area, in the light blue spot.
Beside that you managed a very even paint job.

Re: Bf-110 (eduard 1/48)

Very well done, Owl!
After finishing a tough build like this it's the modelers delight to be proud of his/her craftsmanship.

Hope my C-4 (in ready to paint-stage since half a year) will come out as good as yours.

All the best,
Torben

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 Eduard 1/48

Thank you wasabi and Jim! Swimmingly? Not in every aspect. I decided to use one part of the PE set that replaces the bar in the canopy where the antenna wire runs through. The thin notch looks great so I thought it's worth the effort. Eduards ways are fathomless again. To connect the bar with the he...

Re: 1/48 Hobby Boss A-6E Intruder

Trying to get this kit for a reasonable price for some time now. It's quite expensive compared to other HB kits.
But the quality speaks for itself, making the Kinetic one look old.

Impressively detailed CP!

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 Eduard 1/48

Thank you Erik, Mustang & Handi! Wheel wells are painted in RLM 02 (Gunze) with some shadings added. Sponge Bob heroical jumped in them to prevent the paintwork from primer-overspray. As always I used Vallejo Grey Primer. It's a polyurethane laquer with great self levelling quality and it's easy...

Superb finish on this Zerstörer, James! Mentioned Mr. Vasco, he also helped me out with a build two years ago. His knowledge about this plane is outstanding.
One question: Are the gauges in the engine nacelles represented by decals?
