What a lovely finish! Your build shows the advantage of the big scale. So many details behind all those opened hatches. The scratch work you've added is fantastic, not to mention your skills with the airgun.
Very appreciated to be in a GB with a gifted plastic surgeon like you are.

Just a "wow" for the kit.
How do you clean up the resin - wet sanding only or the "risky way" via sanding stick and/or file?
Can you tell how much more effort is needed to clean the parts of a resin kit in comparison to a good quality injection moulded kit?

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 Eduard 1/48
Thank you, gents! A Revi C/12 is a very small thing if shrinked 48 times. Barely managed to apply two different colours on it. Upper part of the IP along with the "sun shield" was also installed. Eduard was too lazy to provide a pin or something like an adjustment point here. Tricky to ali...

Ouch, now that must have been a really rough surface. In point of clear cote I'm a Vallejo addict, so I have to be aware of this. With the new airbrush thinner they're really easy to handle for me, as long as I apply thin layers. Maybe a question of humidity.
Thanks, Matt!

Re: 1/48 Trumpy MiG-21F-13 "White 2015"
Never used Phil Florys washes, but I heard that it needs a slightly rough surface to have something to grip on. Away from the nasty fibre thing it looks just as grimy and filthy as it should. How long did you let the wash dry? It seems that you needed a lot of moisture on the towel to let it defibra...

Re: Model building as therapy
I fulfilled my military service in the German armed forces in 1998/99. As a member of the medical corps we had a lot of training for extreme situations and how to handle the stress in those. My ratings were above-average and so my officers asked me if I'm willing to go to Kosovo for six months. I wa...

The advantage of old farts: They don't stink anymore.
Thrown more than one eye on cold war jets in the past few months. Your models are not free of guilt on that!
