Classic Airframes outsources its production to other companies like Sword and Special Hobby. So I think it is the same mold.

Both are painted so that was an easy match.Stikpusher wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 2:50 pm Very nice work on your Glen build Remco! The graphite powder was a nice touch. I really like how you got the red to match between the tail area and the Hinomarus.

I love all the marking masking that you're doing on this! What made you do the prop shaft out of metal? Where are you going with that? Thanks Carlos. Regarding the brass rod... Haseagwa's engine mounting design was not good. Needed to figure out how to get the engine centered with cowl and perpendi...

Re: Cold snap and paint?
Yes, freezing temperatures can definitely ruin your paint. It can cause the pigment, carrier and solvent to separate. Depending on the type and how long this can be irreversible. So get them out of the frost ASAP!

Fuijmi E14Y Glenn
I finished the Glenn. Detail painting was done with Games Workshop paint. I also added an antenna wire with stretched spruce. To get a bit of difference between the metal and fabric cover part I gently polished with graphite powder. https://i.postimg.cc/1zzwNPsp/IMG-0281.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/xdF...

Re: Fujimi 1/72 E14Y Glenn
The new masks worked. I primed (again) with mr surfacer black. Toke two coats to cover the red. Then masked some more and sprayed aluminium (Lifecolor thinned with Future). I removed the masks and everything looks quite ok. The circles are reasonably well, one on the fuselage is a bit wonky but the ...

Re: ICM Polikarpov I-5 late
I have primed with Mr surfacer 1500 black and then painted aluminium wit Lifecolor, thinned with Future. It looks really bad halfway but usually comes out nice. https://i.postimg.cc/YCLqJ50t/IMG-0238.jpg Next up is probably assembly. I still have a jig (is that the right word?) that I made for my ea...

A yes, the Great FSM Exodus, I remember that. And the League of Extraordinary Modellers controversy (and walk out).
I haven't been on FSM for years, I don't miss it. They had some moderation mishaps that really did not go well with the forum members.
