Grumman ZF5F-1 Skyrocket... short nose version

A fun build. Added antenna wires using black stretched sprue. Tail rudder didn't include tabs for antenna wires so I scratch built them.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, those Minicraft kits are fun kits to do. I’m glad I deviated from the instruction guide with the nacelles assembly and installed them my way. It all worked out as planned.

Well one down...now to find the windscreen!

Testors (nee Hawk) 1/48 Curtis Racer.

Nice simple kit. Only about 20 parts (if you don't lose any). Just about as many rigging pieces as parts.

Howard "Ike" - 1/48 Testors/Hawk

This little rascal debutted in 1932's Thompson Trophy Race. With a length of just over 17 feet and a wingspan of 20.5 feet, she was fast, too....191.073 (1932), 199.870 (1933) and 207.064 (1934).
