Looking for...

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Last night, I decided to pull the Revell 1/48 scale P-61 Black Widow kit for the upcoming Nightfighters, Eyes in the Skies, and Spooks GB. Taking a look at the instruction guide and having made a decision which version I'm going to do, I'm in need of acquiring 3 seated pilots figures - actually pilot, navigator and gunner. I also made a decision to display it "in flight". Finding spinning props shouldn't be to hard. Deciding how to display it on a mount is a different matter. I've looked at different ideas online but have a good idea which one.

So... the old re-issued kit came with 3 standing figures instead. I knew that because I did the Monogram Black Widow back in my teen years.

Anyhow, I've looked everywhere with zero success. I need them dressed as from Pacific Theater of Operations of 1944. Any ideas?

The next time I am in the Room of Doom, I’ll see what may be lurking around. Probably the standing figs. I have a couple of these Hanging around. As for displaying? Tie it to a ceiling fan blade! Zoom.....

Thank you Lyle. let me know whenever you can. No rush on this right away. A great idea to hang it but the basement tends to gather cobwebs over time. These ideas came to mind:

This one is very cool but on the fence with this one...

I can do this using acrylic rods...

This is another idea as well. But for a 1/48 scale P-61 Black Widow, I don't see a need to create a
U-joint cradle.

Oh, crap! I forgot to look. The P-61, right? I haven’t been downstairs to the Piddle Palace in almost a month!,

well, no joy. What is in these kits is what you have. Little bitty green men standing around and pointing at stuff. Sorry.

I've got the kit moulded in black and have the same standing figures, or one guy is kinda squating.
Thanks,

I don’t want the figures that came with the Revell P-61 Black Widow kit. I’m looking for three seated pilots because I’m building the Black Widow in flight. :lashed:
