Heh, heh, you're right Stuart. But nearing the end of this nostalgic build, I find that I could do without that much nostalgia on my next model.Stuart wrote:yes yes... but they're not nostalgic Monogram kits are they?
(but yeah, the MENG kits are very nice!)

Infidel! There is no such thing as too much Monogram nostalgia!

Hans, is that you? The pain of the struggle will subside after I get her to the airport.

Re: Monogram "nostalgia"...
An actual Idaho Air Guard F-102 in "silver dope":
Your build looks great! I've got the same decals and am planning on doing one of these aircraft as well. My "long-term" plan is to build each of the aircraft from the Idaho Air Guard. I've got the F-89, F-94B, F-102, F-4G, A-10, and C-130. Just need to get my hands on the RF-4C, an F-51, and a F-86.
As for your F-102, it used to sit on stilts next to I-84 in front of the airport, it now resides on the Guard side of the Boise airport in a little park, but not accessible by the public.

Re: Monogram "nostalgia"...
Thank you sir! I am happy to hear that from an Idaho man. And thanks for the info regarding this bird; too bad it can't still be enjoyed.
