I remember using their first formula ones, black label, gray bottle cap, back in ‘93/94.

I wish I had some of the kits I built as a kid too.... well maybe not. I hardly ever painted them and most were played with. I don't really think I ever built a model 'properly' until I got back into it in 2010. Funny enough though I used pretty much what I use now - Humbrol Tube glue, Humbrol Enamels and Citadel acrylics - all used in my last build :hmm:

Hey, I still have almost all mine from my childhood and yeah; most weren't painted either. Some had some details painted, some were just decaled over bare plastic.

Remember that Apollo - Soyez bottle kit of mine? Well I found out in another forum that it's not made by Revell - but Addar. Here are a couple box art shots a forum member who verified it for me:

The side box art images wished I had the WW1 Dogfight kit too! Seeing the Planet of the Apes ones re-ignited my memory that I've done a couple of Planet of the Apes snap kit figures in my youth years - Dr. Zaius and General Ursus. I do vaguely remember having Dr. Zira snap kit but I'm not 100% sure.

Neat box.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
