Here's a couple more "inspiration" shots for ya, Lyle!
I took these at my airport, at the time, this was a new acquisition to "Construction Helicopters", based here.

Snowy airfield with a helicopter... That brings back some memories....

UofM "Survival Flight" is also based here. One of the pilots is also a Chinhook pilot with a Guard. On his weekend to fly, he'll always come by. On several occasions, I've been out clearing runway/taxiways of snow....he'll come on the radio..."Hey...I'll get that for ya". I just pull the tractor over and watch...he'll hover(well...fly very low and slow) all the way around the taxiways and runway...clears em right off!

Ok Paul, that's some huuuge stuff for sure.
I had the opportunity to fly with the CH-53 two times and it was impressive!

My two sets of Airfix USAAF bomber re-supply came today.
Just in time, the Skyhawks were getting thirsty.
Now I just need to fiddle with 5th wheel heights on the trucks I bought to be the "normal" tractors, and decide which tanker gets pulled by what.

Yes, that scheme was used for nighttime special operations. The SAS team Bravo Two Zero was inserted by one of them, if not that aircraft, during the first Gulf War.
