At the dealer that does oil changes on the Rogue. Yes, it is a Chevy dealer, but they sold it to me. Leaving the house to run some errands, Pam says, “There is a big puddle on the garage floor. Is that where the a/c drips?” Yes it is, but it looked a bit odd. We were on the way out of the subdivision when a warning came up on the display....”Low oil pressure. Stop engine!” I did. The oil was changed Monday.
Called the dealership explained what happened, silence. I think he swallowed his younger. I checked the oil level....nothing. Drove it home about 500 yards.
Now we wait for a tow truck and hopefully a loaner vehicle.

Well crap Lyle. I hate to read about this; now I'm sorry for my comment about the drain plug.
They had better make this right for you. Let us know...
If you were closer, I'd offer you the loan of a '91 Isuzu Trooper II. It just sets in the driveway most of the time and as long as ya don't need (or want) a heater or a/c, she's good to go...rough and slow.

My son will be selling his Kia soon before he heads off to Korea in a couple of months…

That’s what happened to my brother inlaw when he came home from a Quick Change. Except they forgot to add the oil. You can’t fix stupid...Texgunner wrote:Well crap Lyle. I hate to read about this; now I'm sorry for my comment about the drain plug.

He ended up chewing their asses out and trading his truck in.
Lyle... I’ll bet the silence was followed by sounds of crickets at the dealer. How stupid can they be to forget the drain plug?

Whatever you do don't tell them you drove it after the light came on, Lyle. Tell them your wife was driving and she pushed it home.
Sometimes its the plug, but more often its the filter.

Well, got a new Malibu loaner. Must the rental setup. Not impressed. But, the dealership sent their courtesy shuttle with some nice man driving to come pick me up and carry me in to get it.
Rogue is still in the driveway.
Nop drove it maybe 200 yards? Asked the service guy first. No grating or grinding. Had ro get it back to the house.
John, 20 people likely couldn’t have pushed it back! We are up a hill.

Ain’t that the truth! Short of a tear down, I don’t know how they can tell.
