Dusty Hill of ZZ Top has died....

Surprisingly, MSN didn’t report this but my local news station website did.

MSN… :ballbat:

Sad news indeed about Dusty. All good things must come to an end… I LOVE ZZ Top! I do hope that they don’t even think about trying to replace him and hang it up at this point. It would not be right to put in a new guy at this point after all these years.

Yeah, sad news for rock and roll. Dusty was only 72...much too young these days. As I get closer to that number myself, it sure does seem too young! I agree with Carlos; this would be a good time for Billy F. to "pull the plug" on the Top. Their best music is thirty years behind them (being generous) although their live shows are still really good. And that's an assessment made from seeing them in person five times. 50 years together is quite a run! RIP Dusty Hill.

He helped create many fabulous songs, but this one has to be some of his best work…

Great choice! As is La Grange! :shoutout: That Little ol' Band from Texas was responsible for many a great song. As one might imagine, most are anthems in Texas. Like Willie Nelson, almost everyone likes ZZ Top and you will hear their music right alongside George Strait or Jones at any roadhouse or country dance hall in the state of Tejas.
