I've never seen instructions like this kit before. You are doing a great job, can't wait to see it finished
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Clint, nor have I! They pack a lot in a block in instructions, though. I am quite pleased at the tolerances and fit...so far.

This is what steps 9 and 10 reminded me of...

Love the MASH clip :giggles:

A very interesting build thus far Lyle - looking forward to seeing it come together.

I boogered up some of the compressor case by installing parts out of order and sequence. Ordered replacements from Atlantis and they arrived a few days ago. They took a while to get here, but they did. Cost me $10 with shipping. Anyway, went back to this for a bit as a break from the C-54.

This is the assembly that I had to redo with the replacement parts.

This spinny thing goes inside and is supposed to turn freely. Not so much. There is plenty of clearance, but too many things for it to hang up on, even with a heavy application of good ol' petroleum jelly.

And, the second and third section of the compressor case assemblies.

There are a lot of parts, to be sure! The biggest problem was reading the part numbers on the sprues. Some were almost unreadable. Fit was quite good, though.

For fun, I chucked the turbin blades in the drill and lit ‘em up. Used that to sand them a bit.

I have too much fin, sometimes.

That does sound like fun actually - what was the turbine RPM?

:hmm: don’t have a spinny howfastometer. What ever the Dewalt cordless can do....
