Thanks Kari! Haven't measured so far, guess it is between 0.5 and 1 mm. Plastic is very soft.

Nice surgery!
Could you not have done that with something like glue-n-glaze?

Well... Clear resin could be an option. But first I want to go this way. It's the first option as I cannot return to this status after trying other options.

Oh complex curve and shape there. The surgery opening looks good, but creating the proper clear panel is a challenge!

Exquisite work, Marius! What caught my attention was when you called the plastic soft. In the case of the original tooling it is hard and very glossy. I decided to check the angles against an actual photo: looks spot on!
Earlier I started working on the concept of scribing. Here I am marking the individual vertical frames. Some of the photos I am checking out show these vertical seams.
Based on this image, looks like my marks are off.

Wow! The surgery you both are doing is really cool. Can't wait to see more.

It is certainly far beyond my ability to comprehend doing; much less attempt! I am overwhelmed at your amazing bravery, fortitude and skill in accurizing this plane.

Thank you all!
I have to admit that I am going two weeks on vacation. I'll probably take the kit with me but I am not sure I will be able to update you guys during the next two weeks.
