1/48 Ki-115 Tsurugi

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

Finally done! After some modellingless weeks (very busy at work) I managed to finish my Ki-115.
It is not my best model, it is not my worst. The paint on the wings is not that good and the difference between the steel fuselage and aluminium wings is less obvious then I wanted.
On the other hand, painting the rudder and ailerons before assembly worked fine. And the wooden cockpit looks quite good.

Yes, I thought a shot next to a well known aircraft would make for a nice comparison. This aircraft was the absolute minimum to get that bomb on an enemy ship. The cockpit was made with unfinished wood, the gear would just fall off the be reused and it probably flew like a pig. No combat manoeuvring in this bird. Just a straight dive to death.

On a more positive note, thanks for your comments!

Very nice build Remco! :shoutout: A small aircraft for a one way flight to protect the home islands.
