Long time no update!

Decals are on.

Image

The decals are much too flashy, as you can see on the pic above so I weathered them a good deal.

First step: soften the decals with Micro Sol and sand them with 1500 grade sandpaper. This gives a randomly faded look. The difference can be seen between the weathered left side and untouched right side on the pic below.

Second step: spray a light mist of the base color over the decals to further fade them and blend them in.

Every update of that stunning build is most welcome. Sanding decals - never heard of that. Thanks for the explanation!

Thank you guys!

Sanding is one way to weather decals but it doesn't work the same on every type of decal so experiment first.

Will keep those tips in mind when Im gonna paint the Nut Cracker thats at my bench atm. :)
