... hullo, thank you for visiting and bringin' some popcorn. I hemmed... hawed... but in the end decided it was time to begin this kit. However, I must candidly admit I would never have had the stones to start this without being part of Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler... and that is the truth. No B.S. Thanks to you, Carlos... and Duke... and Kari... and Mustang... and Marius... and Torben... and BlackSheep... and Little Kahuna Kent... and Our Fearless Leader Thomas... and Stuart... and Medic... and John... let's not forget anyone tonight. Seriously. I was just so intimidated by this big white ball with its working landing gear... and now I'm just... well, not...

also: nb—this may be a garage kit (gk) but it is also a museum-quality model with protyping done by Scott Spicer... I'm gonna link to his page detailing the process of creation of the kit for those who may be intrigued by how this was done! Check it out! (We're goin' to the moon, folks!)

Bruce, I’m sure that you’ll do just fine with this project. It’s certainly going to be some sort of challenge just due to the nature of the kit type, which you called a “garage kit”. But then again, most so called “cottage industry” limited run kits often lack a certain level of finesse that we have come to expect from the major players in the industry nowadays.

TRUTH.

I am still using Tamiya's Craft Saw with its "Saber-style" blade to trim off the circular rings left from the resin pour of each engine. So far, so good. I take saw cuts very slowly—especially when the results level against a base plate. Finished 2 of 4 tonight.
