This build will be very exciting, chips and a delicious dipsauce is needed besides popcorn...

Again a build of something extra ordinary, everything but a "classic" mainstream build... A subject being definitely something the majority of modellers are not even aware of... the existance of these kind of kits! I did not...

And here we have it, in front of our very eyes!

Bruce, you thanked us here on SPAM, but the thing is, we are the ones who need to thank you as well! For your creativity, not only in the planning stage or in building stage... but especially in selecting your projects! That is an "one of a kind" thing in my opinion!

Hi Kari! It’s a beautiful morning, and I thank you for your thoughts and taking the time to write. I sincerely appreciate your excitement! I am excited, too. I am trying to build in fours—four engines, four landing legs, four attitude thruster sets, in order to keep a clear building sequence. Here is something of an overview:

The two sections which form the main sphere (13 inches in diameter) are formed from de-aired pressurized resin:

Original miniature dims:

The two engines I have trimmed so far:

In the close up you see I have clean up to do but I will save this until after alignments:

This additional piece looks a bit tricky to add. The rings surround each engine and must be applied in the proper sequence.

13 inches, that is BIG with a big B !
I do sense in your pictures the aura of Kubrick!

Funny, this post "activated" me to go through a bunch of my old plastic boxes from 2008, more or a less utouched since I moved to Belgium..

Because because... I knew I had the movie on DVD.. :-)

And here we have it, a Finnish edition though, subtitled not dubbed of course... :-)

Ren! Stimpy! Mostrich! I agree! I found a 1965 model shop photo of one version of the model EVA Pod... the craftsmanship, the design... oh so good!

I know, Kari! Thank you so much for checking in... I am going to visit your Tirpitz thread, I was hoping you might post a few images of guns and so forth!
