Impressive cockpit work! I'm taking notes for when I do mine!

Thanks guys! This is my first Bandai kit and I'm really impressed with the fit, especially for being a snap together kit. I was thinking about paint since assembly should be fairly quickly, and I've seen TIE fighters in blue, gray, and everything in between. I'm thinking of a pale blue-gray and settled on Model Master's aircraft gray. It looks about right to my eye.

Aircraft Gray is a beautiful shade. It should work perfect.

Thanks Stik, I just have to cut a few more parts of the sprue and clean them up and then I can start spraying paint.

I finished the main construction on the fuselage (I guess that's what you'd call it?).

Nice work man! I myself was thinking of doing mine in Intermediate Blue, but Aircraft Grey does sound better.

Thanks guys!

Duke, I had it narrowed down to the aircraft gray and intermediate blue. I watched the Battle of Scarif again (it counts as research right?) and they looked more gray than blue. After I clean up a few more parts I'll be able to get her painted and see if it will look as good as I think

Sounds good. I'll have to go back and watch that battle again too.

Well, plans have changed. My first two choices of aircraft gray and intermediate blue won't work as I don't have enough of either color, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to a hobby shop. So I'll end up making due with dark aircraft gray from a rattle can. On the bright side, no one can show me a real one and tell me my color is wrong

I was able to get everything painted, sealed with a gloss coat and the 5 decals put on. I'm not overly happy with the color, but I don't think it looks too bad.
