Thank you for sharing this enjoyable build with us, Kermit. It was a pleasure to follow your progress in the last weeks.
You mastered the Alclad colors right on the first time and I'm sure there is some flying things in NMF following from your bench.

All the best and greetings to what ever you'll meet in that swamp,

Good job on the Alclads.
Which setting soluting did you use on the decals?

It's great to see folks tackling kits completely impartial.
Anyway, being a (progressive) review build, I'm somewhat missing a more detailed final verdict on the kit by highlighting the pros and cons, hence wrapping up the whole build.

A beautiful piece of work. Forwarded link to Revell.

Thank you Eric! And a good suggestion. I use Microset and sol for all my decalling jobs. With exception of the pre- cartograf Academy kits it never lets me down. It did affect these revell decals but never to the point i achieved the painted on look, especially with the yellow decals.

It is safe to say that i would endorse this kit to people contemplating purchasing it. I have built many Revell kits in my modeling career and especially with these older molds it is sometimes a gamble. But not this one! Easily makes my top ten Revell kits. Darn easy to build, packs a whole lot of detail and doesn't even dent your wallet.

Pro:
- Recessed panel lines are very well done
- Very detailed cockpit and wheel wells
- Ease of build/ fit of parts
- Absolutely monster size decalsheet
- Price

Con:
- Some sinkmarks
- Decals are rather thick
- Clearparts are well detailed but on the heavy/ thick side

Overall: 8 out of 10. Good purchase

Rumour has it, the U.S. DoD was buying up old stocks of Academy decals to reuse them as filling for body armour...

Interesting...
Compared with the decals from previous Monogram/ProModeler and RoG Sabre Dog releases, Micro Sol has aways been working quite flawlessly.
