The Patton Project

Post by Stikpusher »

In So Cal AMPS we had decided to do a group build in 1/35 scale of the Pershing-Patton family of tanks and associated vehicles as the chapter entry for IPMS Nationals 2021. Even though that has come and gone, I am personally going to be carrying on with my own personal collection of those tanks.

Here are the last four of them that I have built, along with the year of completion. Some pre date the project.

Left to right, in historical chronological order:
Dragon T26E3, 1997
Dragon M26A1, 2013
Dragon M46, 2020
Italeri M47, 2021

As I complete more, I will add to the family portrait.

Splendid collection you have there!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks guys. I also have several M48s and M60s that I built in my late teens and early 20’s, but I need to build some new ones at my current skill level for the “family portrait”

Magnificent work! These would have looked fantastic in our collection!

Thanks Mark. It’s personal now. I’m building my own collection now… :ballbat:

Thanks Mike. If I keep up the one a year additions, I’ll have my M60 done in 2023… :hmm:

Eventually I'll have all the versions of the Hornet/Super Hornet. I'd also like to do a collection of A-10's in different camos.

I plan on doing the first two schemes, MASK A-10A & Europe 1/Charcoal Lizard, plus the JAWS scheme.
