To discuss future builds, build planning for the future, time travel, etc. Our meeting next week was well attended.

Life as the recipients knew it is about to change.

LOL... There actually WAS an American giant robot depicted in one of the Getter Robo animes that I watch. And yup, it was armed with giant six shooters!

And just to clarify, this Jet VTOL aircraft is moving away from anime to live action TV...

The live action movies like that I couldn't watch. They just seemed to campy to me.

As a young schoolboy those movies rocked. I still remember watching those Toho studio classics like Giant Robot and War of the Gargantuas on the Channel 5 movie of the week. And come on now, admit it, the opening scene in Sky Captain when the flying giant robots attack 1930’s New York was awesome.

That is so cool! I'd love to have that kit! Especially the one with Akiko in it.

I reckon that those campy Japanese shows that were dubbed into English in the 70's served as a cultural security blanket for me. I went from watching Urutoroman in Japanese in Japan to watching Ultraman in English in Virginia.

Hasegawa usually puts its best effort into their Japanese subjects so I think it will be a nice kit.
