Im Safe - Cyclone Gabriel

Post by scorpiomikey »

Not sure if any of you have seen the news from New Zealand.
Wide spread devastation in the north island from Tropical Cyclone Gabriel.
Im too far south to be affected thankfully. I think theres a couple of us Kiwis on the forums? Not sure where the others are from.
This is the most costly and devastating weather incident in new zealand history as far as im aware. Theyre expecting the recovery effort to be in the 10's of billions of dollars.
Just thought id let you all know im safe.

A bunch of photos if youre interested.

You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Glad to hear you are OK. A terrific storm, I've seen some of it on the 'tube.

I hadn’t heard anything about it myself. Glad to hear that you came through it for the better.

To see another one of these once in a generation storms so soon after we got hit by Ian is alarming. Glad you're ok

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
