I've resumed doing work on him over the past few days and have most of the basic colors completed now

Thanks guys! The technique that I used here from Nightshade did give a nice effect on the uniform, but was rather unsatisfactory to me on the flesh areas. Not to mention quite time consuming while waiting for each of the the multiple layers to dry. I imagine that a hairdryer at the workbench would speed up the process. Live and learn... :hmm:
