If you "Google" search for "building the Lindberg LST" You will find a couple of remarkable efforts. One guy got about 50 1/245 vihicles and added them to the deck....opened the ramp and build bow doors. Way our ot my league. But, interesting as can be. Certainly piqued the AMS portion of the brain. These kits are fairly inexpensive, so I may yet try that. Those vehicles and stowage for this are pricey, though.
I think this has just over 180 parts. Around 200 of them are eye-blindingly small and Only a few large pieces have any sort of locating help on the deck. So, outside of the gun tubs and large uprights, it is all just butt joints.
Here are the posts for the railings.

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Re: Lindberg 1/245 LST
Looks like the guy in Seattle used Micro Armor vehicles for the deck load. Not quite the same scale, being some %15-%20 smaller than the ship, but it does give a proper loaded look.
You’re doing just fine on your LST Lyle!
