Post by BlackSheep214 »

I've waited long enough to get this kit and start building it.

The kit

Contents. This is a big bird. Definitely will compare size next to the Revell A-10 Thunderbolt I did a year or so ago.

PE and decal sheet. I will be building this one i Uruguayan AF scheme of Green Drab & Gunship Grey camo.

Nice! Very nice. I almost bought one at the Indy show. A great looking aircraft. You willl knock it outof the park!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Looking forward to this Tom, it's a great looking aircraft.

And just remember, if the build goes wrong you can always turn it into a dio of one visited by the SAS on Pebble Island.

All right Tom! I have this one in the stash so I'll be following along. The engines are so interesting looking on this plane.
Thanks,
John

Sorry, Tom, During the Falklands war, before the landings at San Carlos, the SAS carried out a raid on the Argie airfield on Pebble Island and destroyed most of their ground attack aircraft on the ground.

Yes, the Pebble Island SAS Raid was reported to be something like their actions in North Africa in WWII, when they would raid Rommel’s airfields way behind the battle area.

Yep, destroyed more aircraft than the RAF.

Some progress made these past few days...

Bang seats has 6 PE seat straps. The first 2 installed...

Image

The next two glued ahead of time. They go in between the 2 main straps on the seats

Image

Finally, they are done. The last 2 are on upper padding right and left side

Image

Opened holes for fuselage vents...

Image

Aside from the seats, the office tub, propellers, rear instrument panel cowl are ready for paint...
