in the late 80's at Kiddy City , in Belden Village, OH, They had stacks of Monogram 4 engine bombers 10 of a kind on the shelves and the same for the smaller stuff. I remember the B-29A "Thumper" was a whopping $12.50 and the P-51D White Box edition was $2.50! Those were the days (sort of). Of course back in the 80's we did not have the vast ocean of aftermarket, specialty tools, paint brands galore and the web to share are hobby, learn, teach and make friends with the same interests...BlackSheep214 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 1:57 pm Heh… I remember when car and aircraft model kits went for $5 at Kmart. Those were the glory days of my youth.![]()

Don’t you wish that there was a Time Machine sometimes for such things… ![hmm :hmm:](./images/smilies/icon_hmm.GIF)

A time machine would be great. It would have to be a really big time machine, besides models I'd bring back a couple of muscle cars too.

Oh yeah… Kmart, Stars (later was called Tars after a fire burned Stars and the letter S fell from the building), Woolworth’s….
Back then, car kits were $5. I’d come back with a ‘72 Chevelle SS with a 454 under the hood and a ‘70 1/2 Baldwin Camaro in dark green.
