My descent into madness is nearly complete. The AFV 1/35 M109 arrived yesterday.

As I’ve not done an AFV kit before, and whereas said kit are very detailed, and whereas are containing beaucoup pieces, and whereas this yhing was grinning at said purchaser,

Any advice (other than sell it)?

Any gotcha?

Anything to look for in the assembly guid?

Be ready to put the kit aside a few times during construction and move on to other projects, then come back to it later. It’s just part of getting to the finish line on one of their kits.

I can certainly do that.

Needed to get some gull grey for my current Tomcat project. Also, wanted to try these AK markers. I already tested the red marker on my F-14 Gear doors and I was amazed how easy it was to get a good looking red edge. I just wish the red was a bit closer to Insignia red.
Also picked up a dark grey (rubber?) weathering pencil for some experiments...

Nice stuff! You'll love the GX100. I switched to it for my go-to gloss and it's great!!

Got some Super Hornet/Growler 3D printed parts from Phase Hangar Resin. Seamless intakes, pylons and drop tanks. My wife also found a Funkopop that I didn't know existed.

I used some Phase Hangar parts on an Airfix 1/48 B-57. Good stuff!

I just got this one. Seller was in Hawaii, and it was quick to get here. Why am I amazed. Anyway, it is pretty old and inside was something I haven't seen before. On the Japanese only instructions was a kit numer of MM-181 and on the decal/painting page was a header in English of Pactra/Tamiya. There was also a very tiny (1/4 oz or less) tube of "Tamiya" glue. But the wierd part was that all the cellophane bags were open and or fully disintegraged in to tiny flakes. Never come across that before. This kit is maybe as old as me!

I placed an order of paints for my Stuart tank as well as another armor kit and paint for that one. Pics forthcoming once they come in. Order was placed last night.

I'm doing a Tamiya Stuart on the QT. I've now spent about 5 days (well, parts thereof) trying to get the vinyl tracks together. Running out of options and patience!

Got some stuff to make a base for the Jeep. I've never done one so we'll see how this goes.
