The Duke Finishes Six Armor in March

Post by Duke Maddog »

It has been a tough month for me, but thanks to Hobby Days, I was able to get these models completed.

First up is one of the three large trucks I started a few weeks ago.

This is the Trumpeter 1/72 scale US Army THAAD system that my wife bought me:

Next is the Trumpeter 1/72 scale HEMMTT Tractor with the TPY Radar System. This was a Secret Santa gift from another Forums:

This and the THAAD are designed to work together. This next model is the Trumpeter 1/72 scale US Army Patriot PAC III system. This is another Secret Santa gift from the other Forums:

This fourth model I got in trade from a friend on the Braille Scale Forums. It's the Armory 1/72 scale MGM-52 Lance:

This fifth one is a model I'd been dreading working on, but I was determined to get it done. This is the Tiger Models 1/72 scale Marine Corps MRAP:

Finally this sixth one is the Pegasus Hobbies 1/72 scale German Maus super heavy tank. This is also number 950 in my completed armor and vehicle collection:

And that's all for now. I am hoping to finish a few more models this month so stay tuned. More to come.

Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

950!!! Holy Smokes!!!

You are “da man” Mark :shoutout:

I really love your “duck hunters” here… Great stuff, but the Lance is pretty kick a$$ too! :ballbat:

Just a thought, but on future projects like the MRAP with lots of similar surface detail, would you consider doing a pin wash to accentuate all that detail? :hmm:

Awesome builds all around Mark :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: Having done some work with the MDA previously, I fully approve of the Patriot and THAAD.

Thank you Tom!

Thank you Carlos! Yeah, 950, I'm really looking forward to finishing more now. To be honest, I did do a pinwash on the MRAP and the trucks as well, but I think the overall dusting with the Tamiya weathering powders covered up too much to be seen. Maybe I'll try doing the pin washes after the dusting....

Thank you Stuart! I do love those trucks too!

Thank you Gary!
