exactly how I feel; I remember living in London when I was at university there and seeing kits on shelves for crazy prices back then let alone what they go for now… better to scratch build it, methinks

There are three of the 1/72 Halcyon on ebay UK at the moment - they're all over £200 - one of them is £295 + £11 shipping. I have to say that's what mostly keeps me out of SCI-FI modelling on the whole - the sheer expense of the kits. Even Games Workshop stuff is ridiculous these days.
